Speak Up, Gracefully
Sometimes in life, you endure experiences- hardly ever because life is cruelly unfair.. but I think it’s a gift in disguise you’ve been given that should propel you to speak up in situations that may not sit well with you or for others that may not know how too or may feel uncomfortable. We live in a society that encourages us to stay quiet but we can’t escape what we’ve been given eyes to see, and we’d never be at peace until we’ve said what needs to be said.
It’s a struggle for me as growing up, I learned from my mom to stay quiet in the face of adversity and the persons who oppressed me would tie themselves up in a whirlwind of all their sins, and while that may be true, it is equally important to speak your truth while allowing karma to do its thing.
The age we live in calls us to be the voice for our families and friends, children, co-workers etc. We break curses when we speak up, we heal when we speak up and we truly set ourselves and generations to come free when we speak up. In this new year, let’s start voicing the things that make us weary and uncomfortable. Let’s start being out neighbors’ keepers. Let’s heal the world gracefully.
