The Bell Jar is a personal account of a very dark period in the life of the protagonist, Esther.

I personally adore the method in which this book was written. Very few writers can keep me spellbound while writing in the first person POV. Esther’s humanness and truly unique traits keeps me constantly wanting more. Unforgettable writer, that Sylvia! Her dream of being a poet is flooded by a series of life events that speak volumes and bone chillingly mirrors real life.

The book has invited me to see my choices/path for what they truly are as opposed to the pretty version I’ve made and mixed up in my head.

I always remember a line from the movie Mary Shelley “If you want to be a writer, go out there and experience life, find your own voice.” The book is definitely worth a read, especially for those who can resonate with the complicated inner workings of life.

The second slide has to be the most “eye opening, jaw dropping page of the book so far. And I’ve only completed one third of the book. Hope you enjoy if you decide to give it a read sometime🌹💌
