Sometimes, seeing the world through black and white lenses for a while can be beautiful, yet daunting.
It's even a necessary thing — I say this because the dark is truly as necessary as the light. But — when we see the world in color, the few moments we are afforded to stop and look, we remember why the black-and-white views should be appreciated also.
It’s because life can be jarring, it’s a fact. Most of us are not awarded the freedom to think for ourselves, much less try to express ourselves and live in our truths. This tends to force us down a rabbit hole of hopelessness and uncertainty. However, there are a few random moments, where you’d notice the smallest thing — and it sparks a fire in you, reminding you of the true beauty of life. I wrote a poem once called ‘The Prettiest Sky on the Worst Day’ and I still believe that in the darkest times, we must remember to notice the little things around us. This is truly the color we see! We must remember that while that is life, this is also life. It’s a never-ending, but necessary cycle.
However— in all of the chaos, if we happen to remember to turn our attention to the beauty in color we see around us..🦋⛰️
